What if I could give back in more authentic ways? What if I could take something as simple as needle and thread and offer families a new goodbye?

These were questions I found myself suddenly asking as I waved farewell to yet another heartbroken family. This final goodbye in a cold, sterile hospital shouldn't be the end of their pet's chapter. As an emergency veterinary nurse by day, I found myself wanting to give back in more creative ways.

Hands of Moirai Embroidery started first as an accidental hobby. I stumbled upon a picture of a finished embroidery piece while doom-scrolling a few years ago and what followed was a rapid spiral into obsession. The more I practiced the better the images formed, and thus the answer to my questions was born.

Imagine my surprise when years later I discovered that needlepoint has found a home in my family for generations. Fate is mysterious and illusive, so much so that the Greek divided it into three sisters and called them by name: The Moirai.
