FAQ

  • Why can you not guarantee a finish time/delivery date?
Unfortunately, due to the reasons I described above, my time is very limited and I cannot foresee any blocks that may arise and prevent me from stitching my order as quickly as possible. Because I am an emergency worker, there may be days off where I am called in to do my part in serving my community pets' needs. Sometimes however, plain ol' fashion artist block may be the culprit behind the delay in a portrait. I do try to counteract this by updating everyone frequently with the progress of their portrait (perhaps even too much!). I do my best to stay in as much communication as possible as I take your financial trust in me very seriously.
  • Why did you decline my rush order?
Much to my chagrin, I will have to decline orders if the time frame requested is not realistic or if I have approved too many rush orders and thus making those on my wait list continue to wait even longer. Money is not the driving force behind my small business and I do not feel that it should gravely impact those who are patiently waiting.
  • Why do you charge a "rush order"?
A rush order means that you are jumping your place "in line" by paying an extra "rush order fee". This fee also compensates me for additional time commitment for me to reach a certain dead line. This often results in a lack of sleep, impact on my social life, etc.
  • Why are the wait times for orders so long?
Each commission takes me 40-90 hours to stitch (sometimes more). I am a full time emergency veterinary nurse and stitch on my time off. I am also managing my own business, website, responding to inquiries, and designing/planning outlines for other members in the waiting queue (which is always long)
